A few notes about adding Google Cloud accounts:

  • To add a Google Cloud service account, see the "Add the Service Account to cloudtamer.io" section of the Google Cloud Setup Guide. The steps below apply to all other Google projects.
  • Google Cloud projects are different from cloudtamer.io projects and are added to cloudtamer.io as accounts.

Attach an Existing Google Cloud Project to a cloudtamer.io Project

To attach an externally-created Google Cloud project to a cloudtamer.io project:

  1. You'll be adding the Google Cloud project as a cloudtamer.io account. From the project detail screen, click the Accounts tab, then click Add > Connect Existing Account > Connect From External Account. You can also go to Accounts > All Accounts and click Add New.
  2. In the Account Name field, enter a name for the account.
  3. In the Project drop-down menu, select the project with which you wish to associate the account. If you navigated here from a project page, this would be pre-selected.
  4. In the Start Date field, enter the start date for the account.
  5. In the Account Type field, select GCP.
  6. In the Billing Source drop-down field, select the Google Cloud billing source.
  7. In the Google Cloud Project ID field, enter the project ID for the Google Cloud account you want to add (you can find it in the Google Cloud console by clicking Home in the left navigation menu, selecting the project name from the drop-down in the blue ribbon, and looking under Project Info).
  8. Click Connect.
